What the numbers show

Boxes are thinner than most people expect. Every box here is between 11.4 and 24.5 cm deep, so depth almost never decides whether a TV fits. Height does: it has to pass the boot opening.

The box adds 8–24 cm. Packaging makes the carton about 8 to 24 cm wider and taller than the screen itself, so a 55-inch screen of 122 cm needs room for a box of up to 140 cm.

The LG OLED C5 has the deepest boxes. At every size where it appears in this data, its carton is the deepest, up to 22.8 cm for the 77-inch. Samsung’s S90F OLED is packed far slimmer.

Regions differ slightly. Sony lists the 55-inch BRAVIA 7 carton as 135.0 × 83.9 × 16.2 cm in India and 136.8 × 83.5 × 16.0 cm in Canada. Allow a centimetre or two either way.
